She studied medicine at Oriel College, Oxford and St. George’s Hospital london, qualifying in 1997. She taught anatomy at Cambridge University and completed the South West Thames Orthopaedic training programme. After a hand fellowship at St. George’s Hospital, she went to Adelaide on a knee fellowship at the Wakefield Orthopaedic Centre.
