Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy Department at Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon has a Rehabilitation Gym and outdoor Astro Turf area, a specialist treatment area with five private cubicles, and a large hydrotherapy pool.

Our specialist Physiotherapists have at least five years’ post-graduate experience, and are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

You can be referred for Physiotherapy by your Consultant, GP, other healthcare professional, solicitor or employer. We also accept self-referrals. If you are seeking to use your private medical insurance policy to fund the cost of your treatment, you are advised to check with your insurance company first.

Your first Physiotherapy appointment will usually last around an hour. Once we’ve created a tailored plan that suits your needs and mobility, treatment can usually start immediately.

Subsequent treatments usually last for about half an hour. Depending on where your injury is, we may need you to undress during your treatment or wear loose items of clothing.

Advice and Guidance

The Physiotherapists at Parkside Hospital can offer advice and guidance to help you meet your mobility goals following injury or ill health. Your exercise programme will be supervised on a regular basis, with reviews and progressions as and when they’re needed.

The Department is usually open at the following times:

Monday – Friday      8.00am – 8.00pm
Saturday                 8.00am – 1.00pm
