New Young Person’s Clinic

A new service especially for children and young people is provided by Professors Patricia Woo and John Axford. Children and adolescents have musculoskeletal problems too, and many general systemic inflammatory diseases may begin from birth and the most common form of juvenile idiopathic arthritis has a peak age of onset at age two. Adolescents too have specific problems such as pain syndromes, as well as inflammatory diseases that have onset around preteen and teenage: juvenile ankylosing spondylitis, often presenting with peripheral arthritis, and SLE to name but a few.

We aim to provide a fast diagnostic service and advice re management. For more details please contact Professors Woo or Axford or call 020 8971 8026.
