New Outpatient Expansion – The Parkside Suite

We celebrate 35 years with the opening of a new Outpatient Department

Responding to a growing demand, our new outpatient department, The Parkside Suite, is set within the main hospital building and provides six new outpatient consulting rooms and one treatment room, allowing more patients to be seen at any one time. The consulting rooms are newly equipped and provide dedicated facilities for patients undergoing investigations for cardiology, urology, gastroenterology and women’s health.

The new department has a dedicated reception desk and nursing station and is close to the hospital’s pharmacy and diagnostics services for the convenience of patients and consultants.

As part of the redevelopment, the Private GP service is being relocated to The Parkside Suite, allowing additional appointments to be made available to patients, 6 days a week. A new range of health screening packages have also been launched. These offer options for patients at all stages of their life, from a full ‘Health MOT’, to dedicated Men’s Health and Women’s Health screens.

Originally opened in 1983, The Parkside Suite is the latest in a number of significant changes for the hospital, including the addition of a new theatre and day surgery unit in 2006 and a new purpose-built Outpatients Department in 2010.
