Dementia Action Week 21-27 May 2018

Dementia Action Week is your week to make a difference to the lives of people living with or affected by dementia and to spread the word amongst others!

For Parkside, this has included the introduction of Dementia Champions in our hospital, staff training, awareness information leaflets, dementia resource folders, overview at staff induction and the implementation of a Dementia Care pathway.

We are also registered with the Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme and ask as many of our staff as possible to learn a little bit about what it’s like to live with dementia and turn that understanding into making a difference to people living with the condition by watching a range of educational and informative videos.
