Fees, Training & Background:
Dr Safia Debar graduated from St George’s University of London (distinction) but her first degree was in Neuroscience. She completed her General Practice vocational training in 2007 at Chelsea and Westminster and Charing Cross Hospitals. She has worked in paediatrics, general medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology and emergency medicine. She gained several postgraduate qualifications in these fields.
She subsequently spent a year in the academic department at St George’s hospital teaching and conducting research on cardiovascular risk and bioinformatics. She was awarded one of eight National Institute for Health Research fellowship in 2009 and has undertaken a Master’s in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has published numerous research papers and presented at both national and international conferences.
Dr Debar is now a private GP with a passion in neuroscience and neuroplasticity. She is currently the only UK doctor to run the Harvard stress management and resiliency training courses and has been featured in Tatler magazine. She adopts a holistic, functional medicine approach and incorporates these facets into her practice.
