Mr Hu completed his medical degree and research doctorate at the University of Cambridge before training in Ophthalmology on the London Registrar rotation. His expertise encompasses small-incision cataract surgery and the treatment of all forms of adult glaucoma.

Mr Hu performs complex cataract surgery and provides medical, laser and surgical treatments for glaucoma, including trabeculectomy and aqueous shunts. His research interest is minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery and he is a published author in this field. He sits on the Drugs, Therapeutics and Medicines Management Committee at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
