Psychiatry

Psychiatry is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental health conditions.

At some time in your life you may experience personal problems or feelings that concern you, our consultant psychiatrists may be able to help you manage or overcome these difficulties. Psychiatry sessions will usually examine your physical and mental state as well as your personal and family history.

At Parkside Hospital we provide regular one-to-one outpatient clinics, the personal content of which is strictly confidential to the consultant. Our expert psychiatrists specialise in alcohol and substance abuse, bipolar disorders, depression, eating disorders, marital and relationship problems, mood disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD), post-traumatic stress and psychosexual problems.

Treatment may include medication, counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis or behaviour therapy.

This service is available to anyone and you do not necessarily need to be referred by a GP or other healthcare professional. For more information or to arrange a consultation please call 020 8971 8026.
